I hope you all had a restful long weekend and feel ready for the short week of school ahead. The children worked very hard last week adjusting to the expectations of grade one. We worked on remembering to raise our hands to speak and always trying our best. We shared how we could practice the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", by using kind words.
This week we will continue to focus on proper letter formation using the strokes we have learned. In order to support your child with printing their letters correctly, please refer to the attached chart to reinforce what your child has been learning in class. Starting Wednesday, we will be asking you to practice these letters along with their sounds for homework each night.
Reminders: Parent-teacher conferences on Thursday and Friday of this week. Please book your appointment online or call the office to schedule an appointment. No school on Friday due to conferences. For safety reasons, please ensure your child has their indoor gym shoes at school as soon as possible.
