* Library Day is Monday for our class. Unfortunately, we had no school this Monday, but we are hoping to find a time to make it up this week. Please ensure that Library Books are always returned by Monday morning.

Tuesday, September 15th

Please have your children practice the following graphemes listed below (2 graphemes/night).  As mentioned earlier, do not go ahead as we will be teaching these sounds on the days they have them for homework.  The children will be given a quiz of the first 10 graphemes on Friday.  Please review all of these graphemes. 

Home Reading begins this week.  Please take time to have your child read each night for 10 minutes, or read to your child.  We encourage you to check out Tumble Books online books at:

Important Events to remember:  Ø  The Terry Fox Run/Sports Day is this Friday morning.  We are collecting “Toonies for Terry” if you would like make a donation towards Cancer research.  We are also selling the shoe laces for $5.00 a pair.Ø  Scholastic orders are going home today.  Please return your orders by Friday the 17th.  Cash or Cheque made out to Scholastic.Ø  School forms are due September 20th

* Remember to bring in $5 to buy shoelaces for the Terry Fox Foundation to support Cancer Research
* Milk Coupons can be purchased in the office for Lunch Program $10 - 12 Coupons (Chocolate or White)

Entertainment Book Reminder: Mid Sale Prize Day Tomorrow!  If you have sold 2 Entertainment Books already, please bring in your form and money for tomorrow and you will get your stuffed froggie!  (The stuffed frog is only given out for this one day.)  Only 5 days left and still more prizes to be won!
